Rental insurance
Standard third-party liability insurance is included, at no extra cost, in every Freeland Car rental: you have nothing extra to take out before setting off.
Basic cover
Standard third-party liability insurance, compulsory to drive legally, is already included in the price shown for every vehicle: it covers damage caused to others during the rental.
Excess
If the rented vehicle is damaged, an excess may apply: its amount depends on the model and is given to you with the confirmation, separately from the rental price and the deposit.
Documents
At handover, the named driver presents a valid driving licence together with an ID card or passport: these are the only documents requested.
Undeclared driver
Only people named on the contract may drive the rented vehicle. To share the driving at no extra cost, a second driver can be added free of charge on simple request when you book.
Check everything before you confirm
The total price, deposit, excess, extras, locations and applicable rules are set out in your written confirmation. Payment is made when the vehicle is handed over.
